OBJECTIVE

Produce a promotional video to authentically showcase the impact of Grace Church’s relationship counseling class and encourage attendance through real participant stories

SCOPE: Cinematography, Producing, Video Strategy, Interview Strategy, Video Pre-Production, Video Editing, Color Grading, Audio Engineering, Motion Graphics

OUTCOME

The video builds trust by allowing past participants to speak directly to potential attendees, making the experience feel approachable and impactful.

Re-Engage successfully communicates the value of the relationship counseling program through real, relatable stories. Its use across multiple platforms helped maximize reach and visibility, ultimately contributing to a fully booked class and the addition of a waitlist. The final piece serves as a long-term promotional asset for future sessions.

  • Authentic Testimonials: Real participant stories created emotional connection and trust.

  • Multi-Platform Use: Designed for in-service, web, and social media distribution.

  • Proven Impact: Contributed to full class registration and waitlist demand.

  • Story-Driven Approach: Focused on transformation rather than promotion.

  • Evergreen Asset: Created a reusable video for future class promotion.

Process & Workflow

We partnered with Grace Church to create a story-driven promotional video that highlights the real-life impact of their Re-Engage class. By focusing on authentic testimonials from couples who had completed the program, we built an emotionally resonant narrative that viewers could relate to.

The combination of honest interviews and natural b-roll created a grounded, trustworthy portrayal of the experience. The video was used across multiple platforms, including in-service bumpers, the church website, and social media campaigns. As a direct result, the class reached full capacity, with a waitlist added—demonstrating the video’s effectiveness in driving engagement and action.

Strategy & Pre-Production

  • Collaborated with the Grace Church team to define key messaging:

    • Authenticity and vulnerability

    • Real transformation through the program

    • Encouragement for new participants to take the next step

  • Identified and prepared interview subjects:

    • Two couples who had previously completed the class

    • Developed interview questions to guide honest, personal storytelling.

Production

  • Interview Capture: Filmed in-depth interviews with both couples, focusing on real experiences, challenges, and outcomes.

    • Created a comfortable environment to encourage open, authentic conversation.

  • B-Roll & Campus Coverage: Focused on natural, relatable moments to reinforce the emotional tone of the story.

    • Captured staged b-roll across the church campus featuring the couples walking, interacting, and spending time together

Post-Production

  • Editing & Storytelling: Structured the video as an 8-minute story-driven piece, weaving together both couples’ experiences. Balanced pacing to maintain engagement while allowing space for emotional moments.

  • Color Grading: Applied warm, natural tones to support the welcoming and hopeful atmosphere.

  • Audio Engineering: Ensured clarity and consistency across interviews.

  • Motion Graphics: Added subtle elements to support messaging and structure without distracting from the story.
